Non-Use Remains at Historic High

After publishing its analyses of data from the Monitoring the Future study in the peer-reviewed literature, the IBH team brought its remarkable findings on substance non-use directly to the researchers at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research. IBH is thrilled that researchers now routinely track the percentage of American youth who refrain from using any alcohol, marijuana, and tobacco/nicotine. Dubbed “abstainers,” this group has remained stable for all grades: 91% of eighth graders, 82% of 10th graders, and 66% of 12th graders reported non-use in the past 30 days. https://news.umich.edu/reported-use-of-most-drugs-remains-low-among-us-teens/
